The hostel is located 10 mins walk from Kokura Station, a short walk around the corner to Tanga Market and a whole shopping street and Pachinko.
The night scene is bustling. Lots of Yakiniku and Izakaya around.
The hostel Easy and smooth check in - staff attitude 5* We asked to leave our luggage while we roam the city waiting for 3 pm check-in. And we left our luggage after 11 am check out while we walked to Kokura Castle.
Cleanliness 1* dirty floor and untidy :with lots of everything on the floor, every corner.
The elevator with a carpet flooring was filthy.
Toilet and shower cubicle 2* it was a tiny cubicle, one can hardly turn around. There's no space to hook your towel or clothes. And you have to get dressed in the shower as it is a shared shower and toilet space where you have to walk a long way back to your room.
Room- a cell with high windows you can reach or look out. The mattress was very comfortable.

Read moreI actually stayed at this hostel JUL 2016, but have only just started using Trip Advisor. I had a wonderful time, staying at first for 1 week then another days later on. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the vibe at the bar, and even helped out at one of the English cafe events; it was a fun experience. My business in Japan was visiting friends, and the location of the hostel in Kokura was perfect for me to walk to the station so I could travel into Fukuoka almost daily. The rooms are what you would expect from a hostel. They were kept nice and clean, had great AC (it was a very hot summer) and the WiFi was acceptable for the most part.
