One menu, one dish. Yet a variety of flavours, homely but refined, instead of queing at the overrated areas, this was such a fresh change of palette and scenery.
This dish comes with their local produced rice Kinuhikari, alongside three of their seasonal side dishes: crispy fried chicken with Koji soy sauce, grilled Spanish mackerel with Koji salt and some Roko miso grilled pork. This is paired with an aromatic Sancho miso and their appetising homemade Ponzo sauce. A refreshing side of salad and pickled cabbage to cleanse the palette, with three small sides of vegetables served. A warm bowl of probably the best miso soup I've ever had and to finish off with their homemade apple cider vinegar aperitif 💛

The set meal is simple but beautiful - fresh, seasonal dishes made with local miso / koji. Wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to pair with your meal - I had a glass of natural white wine, and it was a very generous pour! Tiny space with view of Mount Rokko and only few seats - if coming for dinner or peak days, I'd definitely recommend a reservation. I walked in for a weekday lunch easily. The course which I ordered was fantastic. Furthermore, the fusion of Japanese and Italian cuisine was a match made in heaven. The taste was a balance of artisanship from these two culinary nations. Kudos to the chef!
