This is probably the best food I have had in all of Japan. My route was like this until I stumbled upon the shop: Tokyo, Kanazawa, Nara, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe and while I was in Kobe, the decision to visit an Onsen came up. My tastebuds have never been in such a state of satisfaction, and I didn't expect to ever say this to someone who isn't my grandma.
Personally, I think the cook doesn't get nearly enough appraisal for the utterly mind boggingly great food he releases from his kitchen. Texture of fish was pure ecstasy Rice was cooked until perfection. Not too sticky, not too loose Chicken was crunchy, yet juicy inside and had such an amazing taste, I never would've imagined for chicken to be able to be such an amazing thing if prepared correctly Additional small things that'd round off the taste experience for all of your taste-regions in the tongue, like salty, umami, sour etc.
I would give 10 stars if I could, and if anybody ever asks me whether there's ONE thing that you can't miss while visiting Japan, I'll point to this establishment. Now that I tasted what I would describe as food of the gods, I will probably never be satisfied by any other food again, but it was definitely worth it, as I finally got a glimpse of what Ambrosia probably tasted like. Thank you so much for the greatest food experience I will probably ever...

The serving of food looks great, the neat special shape of the sashimi slices, the tall tea cups, all make for a delicious experience.
However, we encountered some local service issues that make me think I will never come here again. We ordered in Japanese using the Japanese menu and were having a nice chat when suddenly we were brought an electronic tablet (similar to kaiten sushi) with an electronic menu in English. We were surprised to find some difference not only in the food options but also in the prices.
Unfortunately the rest of our time was spent thinking about what prices we would encounter at the end rather than enjoying the food. The bill did not consist of the Japanese menu.
As the staff told us, their prices are different for foreigners. I have to say they are higher than usual because of the district and it wouldn't have been a problem if we knew in advance, but the guessing was frustrating.
Although they are very good and fresh, it's not the best...
Read moreQuite poor service. The waiter just put two plates with appetizers on the table without asking whether we wanted them or not. They weren’t very tasty, so my wife and I ate only two out of six appetizers.
We were very surprised when we saw the check and found out that these two items were not free. When we asked to remove them from the bill, the employee said it was a table fee…
Why don’t you tell customers about this before they order anything? Why don’t you set a limit for the table and let customers choose what they actually...
