This charming café is located inside a beautifully preserved building in the former Kobe Foreign Settlement, which is designated as an Important Cultural Property. The entire first floor is a shop where you can buy tea and baked goods, while the café is on the second floor. Both the exterior and interior have a historical charm that’s absolutely lovely. The tea and cake I had were delicious, and the calm, elegant atmosphere made for a truly relaxing experience. Of course, I couldn’t resist picking up some tea and baked treats from the shop on my way out.

I miss Tooth Tooth.

This place used to be THE best restaurant in Japan. I used to fly from Tokyo to Kobe, only to visit this very place.

Now there is no scent of fine dining. Dishes are delivered at a lightning pace. Afternoon tea tables are right next to you while you are having dinner course.

To be fair making good money out of fine dining is a challenge. But I miss Tooth Tooth very much. Dishes I have in my photo app, and chats I had here about how good they are, I miss...
