After a very (very) early wake up to attend a Buddhist ceremony in the nearby shukubo where we were lodging, we discovered this coffee place. It had a magical feeling of a place lost in time and we had an amazing moment just observing the owner lady and denizens how have their habit there. A casual and unexpected experience we really enjoyed!

Lady was running the show at 8am. I was relieved to find shelter here during a hard downpour. Only a few other locals were inside at this hour. She spoke no English but we just used google translate, and she had a very kind demeanor. I asked if I could take photos - she responded hai! and made a superb coffee 👍

Very cute cafe, the way they make coffee is interesting, it looks a bit like a chemist at work. The coffee is tasty and strong and it's the only thing they sell. The staff is also friendly and the crockery exquisite, definitely worth a visit!

Very cute cafe, the way they make coffee is interesting, it looks a bit like a chemist at work. The coffee is tasty and strong and it's the only thing they sell. The staff is also friendly and the crockery exquisite, definitely worth a visit!
