Haruki Sushi — Restaurant in Kumamoto

I’ve been coming here since 1993 when I first came to Kumamoto. It is one of my most favorite sushi bars on the planet. I always start with shima aji (striped horse mackerel), and I recommend that for all. The daily specials are on the white board behind the master, and the usual things are on the hanging signs at the top, a holdover from when the restaurant was connected to sumo. There is an ever-changing menu of Nihon shu (sake)—just ask for the kind you like (I like it dry), and you’ll be taken care of. Please give them a try, but don’t camp out there. 店内はカウンターが9席のみで、にぎりは2貫づつの提供で、食べたお寿司の数を4色のプラ板で、カウントしていく相撲寿司さん方式です❗ もちろん、各寿司ネタの価格も表示してあり、ネタも新鮮ですし、事前に苦手なネタも聞いてくれますので、安心して食べられますよ🙋

食べたネタでは、穴子、トロ、ヒラメの昆布締め、海老がお薦めですよ👌 ただ、食べたかった芽ネギが無かったのが、残念ですね😅

もう、20年以上、相撲寿司時代から美味しいお寿司をいただいています。明朗会計ですし、本当に、美味い！の一言。 安心して、最高のお寿司をカウンターでいただけます。 春木さんの粋な雰囲気も大好きです。

今は、横浜に住んでいるので、なかなか行けないですが、熊本に、帰った際は持ち帰りで必ず利用させてもらっています。
