We (father, mother and son of 14 years) had read the reviews and wanted to enjoy the famous chesecake. So we went into the Café. We were not asked to be quiet or something alike. We were directly thrown out of the Café, because they don't want no "group talk" in there, the manager told us. That was the end of our hour long journey through the streets of Kyoto on a very hot day to find the Café and its famous cheesecake. So if you are more than one person, better keep out. "Group talk" is a dangerous thing in this place. And the manager can find out by only looking at you, if you are a "group talker" or not. 遊經二条城後，在附近找到的咖啡室。 那天點了冰拿鉄和芝士蛋糕 - 單從冰拿鐵的冰塊的晶瑩剔透就知道店主是一位很注重細節的人。咖啡入口雖然有點淡，但餘韻很好。 而芝士蛋糕令人驚艷，比文華東方酒店的還要好。芝士味有火腿般的鹹香，所以蛋糕味道充滿層次感，一點也不死話。而且味道有層次感且口感順滑。

另外提提各位在旅遊的時候要專重當地的文化. 店內有日文提示人客要輕聲細語，而店主在奉上菜單時也有用英文提醒只收現金。 只要細心便可避免誤會，就可好好欣店內的飲品和食物

I stopped by the other day for an iced latte and a slice of cheesecake after visiting Nijo Castle. The ice cubes in that latte were so beautifully clear, you just know the owner’s got an eye for detail—proper impressive. The coffee was a touch light to start, but the aftertaste was divine, lingering in the most delightful way.

The cheesecake was out of this world! Dare I say, even better than the ones at the Mandarin Oriental. It had this incredible savory, almost umami depth to the cheese that made every bite so rich and layered, never boring. Plus, the texture was pure heaven—creamy, smooth, and indulgent.

Just a quick heads-up when you're off travelling—be sure to mind the local culture. This lovel cafe’s got these Japanese signs asking customers to speak softly, and the owner also reminds in English that only cash is accepted when handing out the menu. Stumbled across this cute little coffee shop when it started to rain and I am so happy we did! The desserts and drinks were ALL AMAZING and the staff spoke little English but were so friendly and tried their best. Would definitely come back and recommend it!

But please, respect the locals and the staff by keeping your voice down and enjoy the calm and quiet atmosphere.
