This cute little place, tucked away in the suburbs of Morioka, is well worth a visit if you’re in the area. It has a very calm and cosy atmosphere, with a feeling that you’re eating in someone’s front room (in a good way). The menu is small, and you may have to wait a while after you order, as it seems to all be run by one woman – but it’s well worth the wait! The curry was great, full of flavour and very filling, and the veggie-don got a thumbs up too. The nuggets were especially tasty! It calls itself a vegetarian café, but rest assured that everything here is fully vegan – the signage inside indicates that no milk, eggs, honey, or other animal products are used. Food is made fresh so it’s not super fast (they warn you about that), it was worth the wait, just build in a bit of time.
It’s a bit out of central Morioka but I was really happy I made my way here and would heartily recommend it for a great vegetarian experience.
