沖縄そばと島どうふ【TOPU】 — Restaurant in Motobu

the food is great. in my opinion, the fried chicken and the noodles was the best part about it. chicken was tender, juicy, tangy and crispy. the complex amount of things happening within this bite is just incredible. noodles was perfectly cooked with the right amount of texture, and the soup was light and flavourful. however, there are some parts which did not appeal to me. the pork belly was overcooked, resulting in a streaky and dry texture.

service was kind and excellent, however they mainly spoke japanese, which is a struggle for us to understand and communicate. menu was also all in japanese as well.

atmosphere was not bad, although there was a lot of mosquitoes, which can be seen...

A good place to have local Okinawa food. We ordered a set and it came with 3 different type of tofu- a good sampler. I have pork fried with ginger. Wife had pork ribs soba. We were happy with our choices. The staff were friendly. Do note that they accept only cash, no other form of payment. The signage to the place is not obvious. Do slow down when you see the motor store just before the restaurant. There is no right turn if you are coming from the opposite side...

If you looking for local okinawa food home style dishes and you like tofu then try this place out. Not everything has tofu so it’s great for those who don’t like tofu but for those who do this tofu is amazing as it’s homemade that morning.
