We were in the area and was waiting for the next show at the Churaumi Aquarium.
Just did a google search for halal food without much expectation as it's scarce here in Okinawa, and stumbled upon Arabian Nights at the Okinawa Food Park.
Google says it's not opened yet, but since we had time, we just popped by to try luck. Turns out, it was indeed closed.
As we were walking away, we were called out by Ahmed, who's the owner. He opened the shop right then and served us! He also assured us that all the food is halal. Alhamdulillah.
Food is great and the chicken kebab we had was very juicy and flavorful. Ahmed is also very friendly and attentive! He ensured our ice cold water was always topped up (exactly what we needed in the unbearable heat) and checked on us from time to time if there's anything we need while waiting for the food!

Read moreWe came here due to the amount of good reviews we read on this platform.
What first caught our eyes was the price. While in the app it said that the chicken was less than 2000, it was in fact 2500. Trusting the good reviews we gave it a chance.
We ordered a falafel and a chicken kebab. The dishes were on our table relatively fast.
The server was very kind, attentive and tried to make everyone feel at home.
The second thing we noticed was that the falafel was different than we had seen online. We were expecting hummus and pita bread and we got a supermarket tortilla and no hummus. To be remarked that the falafel tasted strange. (Maybe we haven't tried falafel from Japan before but we certainly did in other places) The other food: chicken kebab and the other sides (like the salad and fries) were okay but not out of this world and we would even say pretty basic.
Definitely not worth paying the money compared with other places...
Read moreMy family recently dined at Arabian Nights and came away impressed. The restaurant strikes a good balance between a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere and attentive service, making it easy for guests of all ages to feel comfortable.
The highlight is the food. Portions are substantial—closer to Western‐style serving sizes—so arriving with an appetite is wise. Each dish we tried was well-seasoned and thoughtfully prepared, showing care for both flavor and presentation. We left satisfied and confident that a return visit would be worthwhile.
In short, Arabian Nights offers excellent value: hearty meals, a pleasant environment, and service that treats families well. Come hungry; you won’t...
