When our original lunch spot near Churaumi Aquarium was closed due to an emergency, a quick Google Map search led us to the highly-rated "Wave Kitchen". It was a fantastic find! They offered an English menu, and we had no trouble communicating with the boss/staff. We ordered two soba noodles to share among the three of us, taking a seat at a table with a parasol right beside the shop. The thoughtful boss/staff even provided an extra set of chopsticks when he realized we were sharing. Turned out the soba noodles were the best we've had in Okinawa! (and we've tried 3 other different shops). The soba broth was incredibly flavorful, and the pork toppings were unbelievably tender and delicious, it is truly a hidden gem!
