One might be fooled by the modest size of its façade, for several steps within reveals a decently sizeable parlor, with a tablecount to boot. But its rustic nature is unmistakable; it's a beautifully-preserved coffeeshop that has no doubt aged, but aged like wine; it's an exhibition of a bygone era placed dead-centre in Muroran, itself whose best days are perhaps behind it, but whose legacy windingly continues. Being seated here is an almost poetic experience, one paired well with a house blend and a piping hot bowl of master's oshiruko.

現役のレトロ喫茶です。昭和の頃からずーっとそのまま残っているんだろうな、という優しい雰囲気があります。店内では常連客と思われるおばあさんたちが楽しそうに会話しており、地域の人たちに愛されてきたことが伺えます。ホールでは優しそうなおばあさんが接客してくれました。 店内は落ち着いた雰囲気で、照明の使い方がとても穏やかです。お店オリジナルロゴの紙ナプキンやカップがかわいらしくいいかんじですね。メニューは軽食の種類が多く、また、和スイーツにも力を入れているようでした。 今回はプリンアラモードをいただきましたが、固めのプリンがとても好みでした。

室蘭出身の友人と訪ねました。 創業７０年！３代目のマスターがこの店を守っていらっしゃいました。 今は全面禁煙になった喫茶店ほのかに煙草の匂いが残るのも昔懐かしい〜鉄の街室蘭に勤務されていた方々が仕事の疲れを癒しに立ち寄ってたのかな？ 友人はその昔、テストで良い点数を採った時、保険の外交員をしていたお母さんにご褒美にプリンアラモードを食べに連れてきて貰ったという懐かしい思い出を聞きながら頂いたプリンは絶品で驚いた！ 昔ながらのほんのり苦めのカラメルソースのかかった牛乳と卵タップリの堅焼きプリン！半世紀以上も変わらない優しい気持ちになる「絶品プリン」の味に魅了され思わず追加注文までして平らげてしまいました！プリンの上にチョコンとのった缶詰のサクランボが更に友人の昔話に華を添えてくれました。 ここのプリンを食べに高速に乗って食べに行く価値ありです！ 日本で一番古い水族館...
