ディンプルス(DIMPLES) — Restaurant in Nagasaki

A beautifully decorated Restaurant remembering my youth. Music is a main element and lots of small paintings. Chef and Service staff is very friendly. I was surprised by the small salad garnishment on all plates I tried, the ingredients are of high quality. The salad dressing is great, the sauce for the fish was very good and the red wine sauce for the steak was outstanding. You can't make this better. I would suggest to cook the fish and the meat differently: higher temperature and less time in order to pan-fry it instead of steaming it so that it is more raw at the core and more crispy on the outside. Went there with my father, wife, and two kids, and we had an great dinner experience. The staff was kind and welcomed conversations about the shop, travel, and world cuisine. The owner is very apparently an aficionado of multi-cultured music (American 80s rock, Mexican, Brazilian, and a bit of Latin-Caribbean). It was a fun atmosphere.

The menu had a variety of delicious options. I had the Mexican soup with salad and bbq spare ribs. All were good. My daughter has the taco rice, and my wife had slow cooked Mexican pork.

We want to dine at Dimples again, so we will remember it next time we come...

We ordered spicy fries, Jamaican chicken rice, scallop & mushroom lasagna, garlic chicken and think beef steak.

Every dish was amazing and was refreshing taste the to all the other dishes we have eaten in Japan. The chef planned the dishes to come out one by one, which allowed us to enjoy each dish at the fullest extent.

Our favourite dish was the scallop and mushroom lasagna, it had many textures and a unique profile of flavours to a conventional lasagna.
