We visited Cafe Restaurant Dejima Terrace 出島テラス in October. It wasn't very busy here when we visited.

We ordered the Dejima Turkish Rice (1800 yen), and lemon and honey soda (800 yen), saratooga cooler (800 yen), and the Dejima seafood paella (2500 yen).

The first thing you should know is that "Turkish Rice" in Nagasaki has nothing to do with actual rice from Turkey. Instead, this is a famous dish in Nagasaki that contains a pork cutlet served over rice with spaghetti. I know... confusing... just go with it as you'll see this dish offered a lot in Nagasaki. The pork cutlet itself was pretty good with a nice crispness to it.

The seafood paella is also not like a traditional paella dish that you would get from a Spanish restaurant. The rice is a bit basic here and lacks flavour. Not bad but just not that memorable either.

Nice view of the wharf area from the restaurant. Bit of a...

We went to this restaurant because the tour company organized a dinner there. The view is really nice but the food in a “course dinner” was really little and nothing special. They served French fries (good), a small pizza that was so thin as a quesadilla, a salad with lettuce and a few shrimps, fried chicken with lettuce, spaghetti (cooked perfectly Al dente) with pieces of chicken that looked undercooked. If you want to enjoy the harbor view, go there and have a beer and fries and enjoy the sight. Then have dinner...

Horrible quality food, cheese fondue taste like Yogurt, Ahijo (shrimp & mushroom) was okay at best. Then got the ‘Unzen Pork’. Felt like drinking oil and terribly cooked. For 1400 yen for the pork alone, I expected a little better quality. Staff & views are very good.
