If you're staying near Nagasaki JR station, hop over the foot bridges and try this place out for Nagasaki's famous Champon or Sara Udon. I opted for the Sara Udon but don't let the name deceive you, it's actually crispy fried egg noodles not Udon! Opt for the thin noodles and wait for the magic to arrive. It doesn't look like much, in fact, it's a rather unappealing looking dish - gooey mess atop a bed of noodles. Get over the look and you'll find crispy egg noodles, perfectly fried and not too oily combined with vegetables, seafood and meat in a delicious gravy which is classic Chinese style cooking you might find in Hong Kong. I didn't need to add any sauce or seasonings as it was perfectly balanced.
I also ordered a side of gyoza which were not the best I've ever had but the whole point of the visit was to try Sara Udon.

The Champon broth was really flavorful and refreshing. The taste was just right and not too rich. The noodles were great to slurp on. Just note that there isn't much seafood that comes with it, it has more vegetables as toppings.
The Zaru Udon was a surprising find. The crispy noodles under the sauce tasted great and were very crispy. The sauce helps balance the flavor of the fried noodles. This was fun to eat.

Once again “Google Map” deliver me here, very close to Nagasaki Station.
When I arrived the queue is quite long, but I stayed and Im satisfied with the food.
The Champon was Delicious and the Gyoza was tasty (a bit sweet, but still good). I took 2 kinds from 3 kinds Ramen, next time I will try the other one.
The Staffs were friendly and nice, its easy to order by pointing the food’s picture from the menu.
The price was fair and worth buying.
