Bhanchha Preetika House — Restaurant in Nagoya

Little indian restaurant near the jingu mae station exit. Its probably not what you were looking for in japan as a tourist, but let me tell you, you're missing out badly if you skip this place.

Me and my partner took the couple set, you get a great amount of food (like a lot for japanese standards), drinks and dessert for a super affordable price. You also get to choose drinks and naan and curry type for the set.

The food doesn't only look good, it also tastes godly. This is funnily enough the best indian food i have ever eaten even though i have been in india itself. Make sure to give the tandoori chicken a try, its mouth melting with good grill flavor and nice indian spices.

Menu has english and the staff speaks it decently as well. You can customize spice levels from mild to really spicy (just normal already had a good kick as expected).

Excellent place for a quick, cheap and tasty lunch with decent service. I ordered the B-Set with extra butter naan. After finishing my first naan I ordered another butter naan which was free of charge. Paid a total of 900¥ and left satisfied.

Update: Prices changes, and no rice from the get go.

Small negative remark: If you order a Nan lunch set you can have Nan first and then rice as seconds but you can't order rice first and then Nan as seconds which doesn't make sense at all, if I want to eat rice first then I should be able to do so.

Tucked away on a back street, this place is easily missed, and it was a little sad to see how empty it was when we dropped in on a Saturday night, because it’s a perfect example of a hidden gem. Nice cosy atmosphere, attentive staff and great food. The prices won’t kill you, sets around 2-3000 include an amazing curry, some sides including tandoori chicken, and drinks. There’s a couples set for around 4000 that’s a really good deal too. There’s a Nomi-tabe deal which we didn’t try but that looks great value too. We left full and happy. Great stuff,...
