Sky Dining TENKU — Restaurant in Nagoya

Took the dinner buffet at ¥5000 per head. Very limited choices. Salad bar was ok but simple. Pizza was freshly baked and customers had to queue for an allotment of a piece as only two pizzas were served for the night. The hot dishes including lamb, pork and beef stews were overcooked. The meat was dry and hard. Not tasty. The only edible dishes were the wagyu beef roast and sea urchin sauce spaghetti. Small portion size and I had to queue two separate occasions to satisfy my taste buds. The dessert corner was however impressive. The icecream was flavorful. Excellent service, the waitress was very patient in explaining coat hanging facilities and free sparkling wine to us. The three of us were led to a 6 people tall table which was quite comfortable. The atmosphere was tranquil, which is nice to have after a long flight from another country. A great selection of desserts along with a seperate counter of a selection of ice-cream and gelato. They also have roast beef along with a delicious but not a large assortment of other dishes in both western and eastern cuisines. ビュッフェは評判通り美味しかったです！ 他の口コミにもあるように品数は少ないです。 しかし、ビュッフェにしては珍しいくらいにクオリティ高く感じました。 リゾートトラストの有馬離宮以来ですかね。ここまで外れのなかったビュッフェは。 とくにジェラートが美味しかった。 バジルとオリーブオイルのジェラートなんて初めて食べましたし。 ローストビーフに並んでいる小さな子どもたちにもシェフの方がすごく親切丁寧に対応されていたことにもとても好感を持ちましたね！ 内観も石目や木目といった自然素材の色合いと、濃淡のついた照明計画がとても素敵でした。

唯一文句を言うとすればビュッフェを小さなテーブルで案内するなら皿を早く下げてほしいと言う点ですかね。 スタッフさんの数が足りないのでは？と感じました。 予約を早くとられた方なのか広いテーブルに案内された方は余裕ありそうでしたけど。

The buffet was as good as its reputation! As other reviewers have mentioned, the number of items is small. But the quality was very high, which is unusual for a buffet. It was the first time since the Resort Trust Arima Rikyu. I've never been to a buffet that was this good. The gelato was especially delicious. I've never had basil and olive oil gelato before. I also liked how the chef was very kind and polite to the small children waiting in line for the roast beef! The interior of the restaurant was also very nice with its natural stone and wood tones and shaded lighting scheme.

The only complaint I have is that if they are going to serve the buffet at small tables, they should take the plates down faster. I felt that there were not enough staff.
