The four of us stayed here for two nights in two rooms (Standard Corner Double Room - Non-Smoking). This room comes with a massage chair (which was a surprise to us as I booked it without reading it as a feature for the room).|The room and bathroom are reasonably spacious for Japanese hotel standard. The room was clean and tidy. ||My room on the sixth floor faced the main intersection nearby and we didn't have any issues with noise from the road traffic.||Hotel lobby is on the second floor and there is lift on the ground floor to get you there. There is also a short flight of stairs opposite the lift on the ground floor to get you to the lobby too.|We didn't have any problem with checking in and out and they even assisted us in sending our large bags to our Tokyo accommodation. ||The hotel is written as 5 minutes from Nagoya train station. But as we got off the shinkansen, we got told (by Google map) to walk from the Taiko-dori exit of the station and this took 10 minutes. As I've been to Nagoya in the past, I knew the reason for Google map's recommendation and chose to go on this longer route. This is because Nagoya station is the most busy train station in that part of Japan.|Trying to navigate three other people with large bags through a really busy station in the middle of the day is not easy especially when the JR shinkansen station is on the opposite side of the station exit you need to take in order to get to the hotel in the advertised 'five minutes'.||The only thing I didn't like is the bed. I don't have a good back and the bed is a bit too firm/hard for me.||I will still recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay near...
Read moreMy family and I had a very pleasant stay in Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nagoya Ekimae. I booked a Double Executive room for 4 nights and had a very comfortable and memorable stay. We were give a room with a front view in the 10th floor, so we have a good view Nakamura-ku part of Nagoya.||The hotel itself looks very new. Rooms are very clean and so is the toilet(w/ Bidet) and bath with bath tub. I consider the room spacious, considering the standards of Japanese hotel room size. The king size bed is big enough for me, my wife and 11 year old son. |The hotel’s location is perfect. It’s just around 10-15 minute walk from Nagoya station, which is also close to Meitetsu and Kintetsu Train station. So you can literally go anywhere in Nagoya from these stations. ||The hotel also have two convenience stores nearby. Lawson, located in its ground floor, and 7-11, which is just a few steps on the back side of the hotel. It also have a restaurant “Ally’s” in the ground floor. The breakfast at Ally’s is OK, though the menu is the same during our 5 days stay. ||As usual, staffs of the hotel are very friendly and a bit more fluent in English. ||Over-all, the price we paid in Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nagoya Ekimae is worth it. I will definitely consider coming back to this hotel if every we come...
Read moreGreat location near to station. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Loads of shopping nearby. Nice hotel. Lovely room on 10th floor in the corner. Clean and quiet. Great laundry facilities. You can wash and dry your own clothes in this chain of hotels. Mostly the staff were great, but not all. One was particularly rude and condescending but happy to say they are not all like that. Just a note there is a kettle in your room but you have to get your tea and coffee from reception. This is supposedly for you to interact with the staff but this is not how it works. They don't speak a lot of English, there may be a queue, you may want a drink before or after you are dressed. Sometimes you are made to feel like they are monitoring you. It is not helpful at all and most unusual. Everybody else manages to give you drinks in your room. So do remember to take them up with you when you...
