Thai kitchen Chaba — Restaurant in Nagoya

We have visited during my stay in Nagoya on 13.4.2016, as this place was recommended to me and it was near the place where I was staying. The restaurant has really warm and nice home-like atmosphere. From what I could tell, during our lunch, the owners daughter visited there and did her homework for school. The cook was Thai and the waitress Japanese. Both of them spoke Japanese well and although my Japanese is extremely limited, we have had no issues understanding each other. The cook seemed to know some English, though.

We have ordered Thai beer and two warious Thai dishes (according to their website, it was ガパオガイ-Gapaogai and トムカーガイ-Tomukaagai. Transcription from Japanese, as I cannot read Thai). They came in a good time and were really delicious. Since this was my second visit to Thai restaurant and both were not in Thailand, I am not able to judge if the food was really Thai, or "Japanese style Thai food". However, it was delicious and quite a big portion. Almost European size portions. The beer was also good, although it may not satisfy European beer drinkers - Thai beer is somewhat different from German or Czech style beer and also Japanese. But still good! 2025/1/5 ガパオ ルア ミットの味が忘れられなくて、再訪です。 前回チャーハンの量にやられたので、今回は パッタイ、チキンカシューナッツ、トムヤムクン、ガパオ ルア ミットを3人でシェアします。前回より一人多いので料理の種類も多めです。 基本的に何食べても美味しいですね、トムヤムクンの辛さは今回かなりハードでしたが、辛いだけでなくうまみもあるので食べられます。（くちびるが痛くてマヒしますが）

他にも食べたいものがあるので、また来たいですね。
