A small and intimate Italian place that will have you dreaming about the food after you glide into the night filled with bliss.
We had a starter and two mains. The starter was a wagyu based variation of vitello tonnato, which was an excellent appetite catalyst. The pasta was spaghetti trapanese and to end we had mushroom risotto. The pasta was truly al dente and the sauce creamy and still fruity by the force of excellently chosen cherry tomatoes.
The risotto, however, was on a totally different level. Unbelievably creamy and rich, the rice cooked to perfection. The whole dish would melt in your mouth and at the same time one could still make out the individual grains of rice. The mushroom flavor came across clearly but not too strongly and was balanced well with the butter and cheese. The whole dish was absolutely outstanding.
Finally, we had the tiramisu, which was also expertly crafted and was a very good firm kind of tiramisu.
Wine is served by the glass or bottle and there is a very good collection of natural wines available.
As concerns the service, this is a one man operation and the chef was extremely friendly, attentive, and dedicated to his craft.
If I make it back to Okinawa at some point, I will definitely come here again. Just an...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this restaurant when we were wandering and discovering Naha. What a gem! The menu may not be in English, but between a very helpful chef and google translate that was not an issue. Service was fast, friendly and courteous, the food delicious. This is quite impressive as the chef did everything.
We were only a little hungry when we came, but after we shared a serving of the gnocchi with ragu, we just had to have more! We landed on the duck breast and a cheese cake for dessert, both of them top notch. The ambience was nice and cosy. It may seem strange to come to Okinawa and eat Italian food, but this is a place you should visit.
Note that the portions are intended to be shared by two persons. The sharing is perfect, as I guarantee you will want to try more...
Read moreIf you’re wondering where to eat tonight, go no further. The food here was outstanding!! We ate the carpaccio of the day to start and it didn’t disappoint. This was followed by the seasonal salad, pasta, fish and focaccia. We have eaten a lot of great food in Japan but this was our favourite! Also, the gentleman who owns the restaurant was very friendly and did everything himself. We stayed in the restaurant after our food and spoke with him and drank the lovely European wine he served, which changes day by day. If you want great food and wine make...
