Today I ate there and was so confused by their statement on the menu of 500+/person and you get a complementary offering. It's not "complementary" if you have someone pay. Anyway, after trying my best to communicate with the waiter, I decided on it as it was two additional oysters and they were good. I thought I ordered a scallop, but GT got me again and I juts ordered another type of oyster that happened to be from Hokkaido. I had to ask him to show me the bill several times as my calculations and his seemed off. My final bill seemed more around what I calculated. Although they have a good variety of oysters, I found a more straight-forward oyster place down the street that has no back-handed offerings. Would I come back here, probably not as if you are going to offer a "complementary" dish, it should be complementary and not an additional charge. I mean before the 541, my total was already 2200+, with my drink included. I think that's fair. Forcing us to pay 541 for something we actually don't really want after our initial order is just bad business. I hope they change this policy. As...
Read moreStumbled upon this place on a scavenger hunt for a replica Japanese sword and stand. I’m a raw oyster connoisseur and once I seen the outside photo menu/shells I knew I had to try. They don’t speak a lot of English so we “played” Pictionary”. They are 2 floors to this facility; reminds me of an izakaya shop. A couple tables are on the 1st floor not sure what the upper level looks like. They have a menu and chalkboard menu listing the oysters. Do not get hung up on the name they sell other items besides oysters! I had the fried squid (leg pieces) w/ garlic aioli (¥470) and fried oysters (4) w/ tartar sauce(¥777). Not a fan of white sauces so I passed on the tartar sauce but I did like the garlic aioli. If you spend more than ¥600 you’ll receive steamed oysters for free. The waiter advised/asked if I would like some hot sauce which I eagerly obliged. The shop is quiet the individual are cool and helpful. My total cost was ¥1895 for 1 person and all taxes were included. Someone mentioned in a previous review they charge a table fee, it wasn’t explained/mentioned...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking to eat good seafood and this place did not disappoint. We asked for the order of six oysters to gril and boy we loved them! We also ordered the fried squid and we threw some soy sauce with lemon and Tabasco and it blew our minds. Finally we ordered the shrimp ajillo we liked it but we wish the shrimp would be a bit bigger. And to top it all off we ordered 4 oysters stuffed with cheese garlic and other sauces and ingredients that I can't remember them now but all of them were superb. Highly recommended if you are looking for some good sea food here in Naha. Finally the staff did a good effort in communicating with us in English....
