Cafe Planta — Restaurant in Naha

I had a very disappointing experience at Cafe Planta during our visit to Okinawa. We are a family of three. After driving for 40 minutes and finally finding a parking spot, we were so excited to try their pancakes. However, we were informed that we would have to sit separately—two of us on one table and the third person alone. We were shocked by this and offered to squeeze a bit, as the table setup seemed spacious enough. However, the staff firmly refused and insisted that our only other option was to wait for about an hour for a table for three. But the place wasn’t even packed. We saw at least 2 empty tables. Given that it was already 2:30 PM and the cafe closed at around 4 PM, this was not feasible for us.

As a result, we had no choice but to leave, and to add to our frustration, we had to pay for an hour of parking, even though we were there for only 10 minutes to inquire about the seating situation. The lack of flexibility and poor customer service made this a very frustrating experience, and sadly, we never got the chance to try the pancakes we were so excited about. I won’t be returning...

We stumbled upon this place after we saw the massive queue at C&C cafe. We saw that this place had high ratings, pop over and saw no queue and we're initially worried about the quality of food... This is after all only 5 mins walk from C&C..

We were surprised.. the pancakes are really good. I find theirs better than happy pancakes.. Foodwise, they are as good as C&C. Their drinks are also high quality.

Due to the lack of crowd, the ambience is great and we had the attention of the really nice service staffs.

If you’re looking for pancakes, look no further. The best pancakes I had in Japan in a year of travelling around the country ! They were fluffy and delicious, perfectly cooked inside.

The service was simply amazing, the waiter was very attentive and polite and went out of his way to ensure I was having a good time; he lend me a charger, he refilled my water constantly (although it was self-service), and called the internet company to ensure I could login to the wifi. His politeness is really outstanding, I really felt taken care of, 5 stars service...
