I'm giving this place 4 stars because the food presentation was beautiful and the owner was hardworking.

I was a little disappointed by the food though. I came to this place because I like spicy food. South Indian food is normally very spicy as compared to the north. However, the food here was very mild. Further the curries were somewhat soupy rather than thick sauces. The curries did have flavor but it just wasn't what I was expecting. The positive is that you can order a dish with 3-5 curries and try an array of flavors.

The masala chai was tasty - and worth a try.

Also, it isn't explicitly mentioned but this restaurant is purely vegan. If you are expecting meat, then this isn't your place. If you are looking to try something new, it might be worth a...

I am writing this review as I leave this place. This place offers authentic southern vegetarian Indian food made by a Japanese chef. I was not so hungry so I ordered 2 curry lunch meal and I wasn’t sure what I would get since the menu did not say anything specific about curry but I was pleasantly surprised with every single dish on my plate. Everything was on point and tasted even better than what I had in India. I will definitely visit again whenever I miss my time in India. Masala chai was made from scratch as I ordered. DON’T FORGET TO TRY CHAI!!! Everything was fresh and flavorful like I was back to India. This place is only a couple block away from Kokusai street. A couple paid parking was also...

We found this restaurant by accident… We were actually heading to the vegan restaurant near by & found it was closed - so came in here in the end suuuper hungry. When I saw there’s only 1 person doing everything - I thought we are going to wait for our food at least 40 min. However, in 15 min max everything was in front of us. Beautiful dish, very very tasty!!! Nice old cutlery, simple decorations, vintage lamps & pleasant music. Such a contrast from the craziness of the main street… The chef / waiter is really polite, kind & fast. Definetely try the desserts! We went for the Gajar halva & Paal payasam - mmmmm,...
