あとぶ牧場 serves some of the most mouthwatering dishes around, but a complete lack of a ventilation system and deplorable staff handling make dining here an exercise in frustration. The food is undeniably top-tier—brisket so tender it melts in your mouth, with a smoky crust that’s near perfection.
Tragically, the experience collapses under the weight of a nonexistent ventilation system. The dining room is a suffocating fog of smoke, making it hard to breathe or even see clearly. During our visit on a blistering hot evening, the air alarm rang repeatedly. We were asked to turn off the stove, without clear instruction on when it could be turned on again. The staff inexplicably turned off the air conditioning and threw open all the windows, letting in oppressive heat and humidity that left us sweating through our meal. My eyes stung, my clothes reeked of smoke, and the unbearable atmosphere turned a great meal into a grim endurance test. A barbecue restaurant should feel rustic, not like a health hazard—basic ventilation isn’t optional.
The staff’s handling of the situation was equally infuriating. Our server was disorganized, delivering wrong orders and ignoring requests. When we mentioned the stifling air, we got a dismissive “it is what it is” and no effort to remedy the situation.
The food here is phenomenal, but the complete absence of ventilation and abysmal service make it impossible to enjoy. Until they install a proper ventilation system and train their staff with respect, あとぶ牧場 is a hard pass.

Read moreI don’t understand how this place is so popular and well reviewed. The meat was okay but just plain without any marinade. Way to expensive for what you get and what you would expect of korean bbq. We ordered cabbage and cucumber kimchi for 550 yen each. It was the tiniest portions I have ever seen - honestly we were four people and struggling to get a mouthful each. The cucumber kimchi was just 5 pieces of regular cucumber salad, no Gochujang and not fermented. Service was kind and quick though. We ended up leaving kinda hungry and paid...
Read moreWe were glad that we were able to visit during lunch as the set lunch was pretty reasonably priced. The beef, as expected, was tender with a slight hint of gamey-ness. The pork on the other hand, was generously coated with miso. After BBQ, the meats tasted great over rice. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the vicinity. As part of the set lunch, you’d also be able to complete the meal with a glass of iced coffee…
