I went to Cin.na.mon for dinner in early May 2025. We couldn't find too many options in the evening on the Miyounoura side of Naoshima Island and it was getting late so decided to come here despite the 1 hour wait.
They were super busy so I recommended that you try and book for a table rather than walk-in - otherwise you're liable to have to wait awhile like we did.
Luckily it was worth the wait - it would have been really disapponting to wait the long only to find the food was awful.
I ordered a sashimi set which was delicious, my travel buddy ordered the sashimi salad and a the biggest agedashi tofu I have ever seen. We also shared some charcoal chicken.
The portion sizes were huge and the menu extensive - there's alot of choice (almost too much). The food was seasoned well and tasty . My only slight criticism was the charlcoal chicken was a little too charcoal to the point of being a little bitter but still edible.
Service was friendly, fast and efficient.

After numerous phone calls, we decided to give up and wander down to Cinnamon, in hopes that they could provide a roof over our heads for the night. They did not disappoint, and in no time we found ourselves in a spacious private room above the restaurant. There were no noise issues, staff were very friendly, and dinner was good. Breakfast was also provided at 8am sharp. The only cons were the very very thin futon and...
Read moreThe food quality was poor towards really bad. We ordered quite a lot of dishes and none of them was even ok. The sashimi was extremely sad, the fries super oily and the salmon ok (because the mayonnaise disguised the flavor…). Not that we’re picky, we eat often from kombini and like it, indeed a kombini dinner would have been better. Not sure why it’s scored so high, yeah it’s cheap but I prefer to pay a bit more and have something decent at the end of a tiring day visiting museums. Is open til late so that’s handy, but food quality needs serious attention. The place didn’t look much...
