Hoshino Coffee — Restaurant in Nara

A really nice restaurant for coffee, fluffy pancakes and more.

First time here and I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was.

The restaurant was very clean and had hand sanitizers readily available. The booths were comfortable and spacious enough.

The service was really good - the servers were friendly and very accommodating.

The food was delicious. The pancakes were fluffy and flavourful. Served with syrup and whipped cream. The cheesecake was the surprise hit - a great blend of sweet and savoury. The holiday morning set was great - it had a a little bit of everything (available till 11am). Selected coffees are half price with second cup ordered.

There is ample parking available. There was no English menu, but it’s very easy to order from the menu using the photos.

Looking forward to coming here again...

Most of their breakfast items are not available from 8AM-10:59AM. Less than 25% of the menu is available in the morning!!! It makes no sense to advertise the breakfast items that can be served only after 11:00AM. If you look up the definition of breakfast it is "a meal eaten in the morning, the first of the day." Labeling the best menu items as breakfast and not offering to sell them till almost the afternoon is silly.
