You pay upfront so once you're in, there's no escape. The amount of food given is definitely not worth its price. The eel rice i had make me portion up my tiny piece of eel like a damn surgeon. And if u've tasted some actual homemade miso you'll know that this is made from one of those supermarket bought miso, which you just add water , and ur done. Such laziness wasnt able to justify it's price. For 1680 + tax you could 100% get better food than this stuff. If ur simply too hungry after deer watching, go for the hamburger place right beside this one, hell i went there cuz i was too hungry...

A fantastic spot to refuel after feeding Nara’s deer! The tariyaki rice was the star—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The unagi (eel) rice was also great, with a lean yet tender texture (not overly fatty, just right).

Service was friendly and efficient, and I appreciated the flexible payment options (both card and cash accepted). Bonus points for free WiFi, which made it easy to share deer photos right away!

Got to try kamameshi when u are in Nara and this restaurant is located near the temple. Walking distance and served really fast.
