A nice Italian/Japanese restaurant in onsen area. The building of this restaurant is gorgeous, a centuries old common house in the countryside. You can explore the building if you like. The restaurant section is nicely restored and very well heated in the winter. Food was very good, we had a course of 7 dishes, they accommodated my non meat request. Service is very good. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is that their wine list is very dismal. They show case the wines from Nishekan area (where the restaurant is in) and I understand the wines are their pride and joy. But Nishioka wines are not my favorite at all. And I avoid them when possible. I wish they have more normal wines on their menu. FYI their pairing is consist of wine and sake. Next time, I will bring my own bottle and pay for a corsage fee. I hope...
