Stumbled upon this restaurant due to other locally famous ones having too long of a line (20++!), so glad I did. While this had some queue (5 when I went on weekday at 1PM), it moved relatively quickly. Now, star of the show would be tuna simmered in soy sauce and steak. Red snapper and Anago fried were also tasty. This shop had its own parking space right next to the shop, but you can also park at the fish market nearby.

The signature fried horse mackerel is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, highlighting the local fish’s freshness. While the restaurant is updated for tourists and slightly more expensive, the quality of both the food and service make it worth a visit for those seeking a refined seafood experience.

A delightful local restaurant near the port. You enter and note your name on the list then you're called forward when the table is ready. You choose a main (from the photo) and then choose the side 'set' e.g. Basic miso, appetiser etc. The menu is roughly translated into English. The crab miso is wonderful with large crab legs hanging over the sides! We chose red snapper and the delicious salted mackerel were as good as any I've tasted. They are also licensed. The food was amazing, great quality and quantity, the price was reasonable for the amount!

It's the best sashimi and red snapper I've eaten! I recommend the crab miso!

Just make sure you have a translation app as the daily sashimi/fish list are only in Japanese and you don't want to miss out- we had Tuna and Bonito and it was...
