Uoya Taisho — Restaurant in Okayama

Saw this place on google maps while looking for fish to eat and an izakaya. I was staying at a nearby hotel. Man am I lucky I decided to go ahead and visit! Given my very limited Japanese, the team gave their all to try and help me in choosing what to eat. Ordered the assorted sashimi plate, the fried shrimp with mayonnaise, and the raw horse tongue sashimi (yes you read correctly), and a Yuzu Sherbet. 到訪當天剛從台灣抵達，因為班機延誤加上出關人潮眾多，使得我們抵達時已經是深夜23點了，因為有預約的關係，店家非常貼心的幫我們保留了最後一份綜合的７種魚生魚片，雖然有語言的隔閡，但還是能感受到店家的盛情招待。 生魚片非常厚，也非常新鮮（台灣的連鎖壽司店應該會把一片分成三片賣吧），同行友人讚不絕口，除此外炸物的表現也相當好，Highball也不遜色。雖然店內開放抽菸，不過店家安排給我們小隔間的位置，也有一定程度隔絕了菸味。這點非常感謝。 這是一間到了岡山一定會再造訪的店家，再次感謝您招待。

訪問当日は台湾から到着したばかりでした。フライトの遅延と入国審査の混雑で、到着時は深夜23時になってしまいました。予約をしていたおかげで、店の方はとても親切に、最後の1セットとなった7種類の刺身の盛り合わせを私たちのために取っておいてくださいました。言葉の壁はありましたが、店の方の心のこもったおもてなしを感じることができました。 刺身はとても厚切りで新鮮でした（台湾のチェーン店の寿司屋なら、1枚を3枚に分けて売るでしょう）。一緒に来た友人も絶賛していました。揚げ物の出来栄えも素晴らしく、ハイボールも負けていません。店内は喫煙可でしたが、小さな個室のような席を用意してくださったおかげで、ある程度タバコの臭いを避けることができました。この点についても大変感謝しています。 岡山に来たらまた必ず訪れたいお店です。もう一度、おも...
