Located in Okinawa and with hotels nearby, it's no surprise that you will see tourists and military families having dinner here. But there are also locals, the menu variety is good, portion size is HUGE and the beef tender, good drinks, free parking.... what's not to like?
Recommend the wagyu sirloin and Agu roast pork as well as the American sirloin steak. These came served with roasted garlic and potato. Salad was served separately as part of a set. Beef and pork were deliciously tender and well cooked. The garlic rice was rather lame though, needed better flavouring. Awamori highball was a great drink to try, would have drunk more if not in consideration of my partner who couldn't drink as he had to drive (out of respect for the zero tolerance for driving after drinking in Japan).
Portions are large, so we shared 2 mains with some side dishes for the 4 of us. They have counter seating as well as table seating.
Would recommend this place if you are in the mood for steak. Seems that they have a yakiniku place across the street too and there is also a Lawson's next door so car park seems rather large. Reservations recommended as the tables were constantly turned over for the next guest, seems quite a...
Read moreVery good and reasonably priced steak. The best INEXPENSIVE steak we've had in Japan. If you want really good beef in Japan (Kobe, Saga, Hida), you have to pay at least 3x NA prices. This restaurant does have Wagyu and better grades of beef too, but sometimes you just don't want to spend the money. The Spencer 200g (Australian style) was bigger than usual and cooked (open kitchen) perfectly. For 2500 JPY, it's worth it. (Don't order the NY strip! I saw it on the grill). The Shaka Shaka fries were delicious (and they sing a little song when serving it, that the patrons join in. Lol). Service was good, friendly. English menu available. Need to shower & wash clothes after. Much better steak than Columbin's (which we ate a few nights earlier)...
Read moreExcellent food and service. Had the agu pork combo and upgraded to the 200g ishigaki wagyu. Reasonably priced for dinner of the best steak and pork you can get. Had legit wasabi, not green colored horseradish. The garlic butter was phenomenal with the steak and wasabi. The garlic rice needed a touch of salt but was delicious. I definitely recommend giving this place a visit! Also, had the smoked salmon and caesar salad. Definitely sides for the whole table or as a meal on their own. The hash brown potatoes come with three pieces and are easily shareable as well. The okinawa Mai Tai was great and fairly strong so make sure you have a plan if you're getting their large drinks! Will...
