Oyatsu-to-Yamaneko — Restaurant in Onomichi

Small pudding shop just outside the jr station. The pudding is AMAZING! the harder type of pudding that's creamy and eggy. We got the matcha, lemon and blueberry.

Matcha: The pudding is matcha flavoured, and they give you a mini fish shaped bottle of lemon sauce. The pudding was nice, and you could taste the matcha. Lemon: The pudding was not flavoured, but they give you a small bottle of lemon sauce. Just having the pudding on its own is still very nice, but it can get a bit... filling after a while, so add a bit of lemon sauce, and the whole pudding becomes lighter. This one was my favourite. Blueberry: plain pudding with blueberry sauce on top. Not my fave.

All puddings come in a mini glass jar that you can keep. They had 2 small benches outside their shop for you to sit and eat...

Delicious pudding! It was a bit pricy for us, but it also comes with a tiny bottle of lemon juice. We got the matcha flavor one, and it was a bit bitter. I thought it tasted better with the lemon juice, but my hubby said it's weird for him. I'd love to try the custard one, but we're probably not going back there since there's actually not much going on in Onomichi if there's...

This is the best sovenior from Onomichi. The creamy pudding is in the vintage design glass. As you may know, you can find a lot of street cat everywhere in Onomichi and that's used for the shop name and design.
