The atmosphere of the cafe is laid back And we appreciated that they had an English menu for us to look at (only took pictures of the Japanese menu though). The staff is very nice and we’re quick to take our order and serve us the food as well.

We ordered the milk chocolate drink, banana fudge cake, original parfait, and an assortment of chocolates (caramel milk chocolate, coffee milk chocolate, milk chocolate). The chocolate was rich and creamy and we enjoyed the assortment of chocolate pieces. The chocolate drink would solidify on the top if you didn’t drink it fast enough, giving it an interesting texture. The chocolate on the parfait gets hard quick due to the ice cream underneath, so be sure to eat it quickly. There is a yummy chocolate pudding on the bottom of the parfait as well. We thought the banana fudge cake would have a stronger banana flavor to it, but the chocolate definitely over powered the banana. There seemed to be more banana in the parfait than in the cake, but they were both still pretty good.

The finest chocolatier in Osaka. Their chocolates are out of this world as they have a wonderful sweat flavor but the sweetness is tamed and honed in for world class chocolates. Their chocolates are sold in department stores nationwide, but here is the only place that I know of that we can actually sit down and have other chocolate creations from Ek Chuah. The place is in the middle of hustling and bustling Osaka, but once you get there, it's quite and serene in a cozy retro Japanese house. If you love chocolate, you will love it here. Overpriced. There are plenty of more reasonably priced delicious desserts in the city. I ordered a piece of cake and my friend wanted to order another piece of cake, but they were out. The server took our order and left. Then two minutes later another women comes back and tells us that my friend HAS to order something. I should have cancelled my order then but they felt bad so they ordered a chocolate tea. The tea was seriously underwhelming and it was rather unpleasant to be forced to order something we didn’t want because they didn’t have something on their menu....

My fried coaxed me here after work with the promise of `The best chocolate Osaka has to offer`. We were greeted by a gorgeous buidling and a delightful decor. It was late on a school night, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were polite and attentive. We both ordered a hot chocolate and lost ourselves in conversation. While other cafes are cheaper, or offer different products, this was certainly a delightful place to while away the hours and drink some high quality hot chocoalte.
