Loved the vibes of this place, we ordered one pasta and one mixed katsu set.
Their katsu was amazing! We highly recommend just getting any of their katsu instead of their pasta! The katsu set comes with miso soup, mine was incredibly salty (i dont think its subjective because it was just full on salt— trust me i love salty foods and this was just overkill)… thank god i had rice. Anyway the katsu was so good, so who cares about the salty miso soup 😋 Crispy on the outside and J U I C Y on the inside yums!!! Guys the shrimp took me out i could taste CRISPY FRESH SEA 🍤⭐️ (real).
For the pasta, it was bland and the pasta was overcooked, nothing too horrible though but we would not recommend getting it… or you will regret as you look at other people having their katsu.
They also served us an apple jelly dessert at the end of the meal, very jiggly, very delicious.
Overall their service was top notch and it was a very hearty meal given the price despite one of our dishes being subpar.
Another note is that they seem to be targeting tourists who are in the area after visiting team labs and have later opening hours too. They are prepared to communicate with tourists in english and have english menus on hand already on the table! We would love to visit again but unfortunately the area is a little out of the way, and team labs osaka was so disappointing that we probably will not come back to the area again (since there is nothing much there too).
Thank you to the owners and chef for the nice meal and we hope to see their...
Read moreThis is a MUST DO when in Osaka, especially if going to Team Lab Botanical Gardens at the Nagai Botanical Gardens. The owners are wonderful and exceptionally kind. The food is terrific and the service is fantastic. I wish I could give them 6 stars.
It is a mix of Tonkatsu and Italian (crazy, right? 😁). We got the mixed tonkatsu (pork loin, pork cutlet, and shrimp), the bolognese, and the spaghetti with clam clams. All were delicious! The peach gelatin for dessert was the perfect way to finish the meal.
Seating is limited (just like everywhere in Japan). This is a bit off the main path, but it is worth the walk. And it is wonderfully quiet. The owners will chat you up as well, although our Japanese was as rough as their English.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND this family gem, especially if you’re looking to get away from the chains and the noisy main...

We had the teriyaki chicken and fried pork fillet set. The pork fillet was beautifully done - moist tender and juicy on the inside and crispy and light on the outside.. To preserve the light crispy texture, the meat was served on a raised half wire rack. The finely shredded cabbage salad was a really nice complement to the meat. The meal set comes with rice and miso soup and a small dessert. The teriyaki chicken was juicy and delicious. Swift efficient service and the restaurant was warm and cozy on this freezing night. If we stayed nearby we would have made this our dinner home base. As it was we were just passing through on our way to Planet Labs and only found it because of the high rating it had received. Great value for...
