Mankai Fukushimahonke — Restaurant in Osaka

Place is really off the main road and can be a little hard to find. However once you stepped in to the shop, it’s a little gem on its own. It has a round central table for sharing and counter seats to show the chefs in action too. Small and quaint, makes one feel absolutely cosy and comfortable.

Menu is simple and not complicated - staff is very helpful with assisting to order through the vending machine.

We ordered two bowls and added a gyoza as well.

I really wanted to try the spicy version but they only had one with tomato (which I was worried will make the soup too sweet for my liking), but we ordered it anyway.

Both types of soup were really thick and flavourful, the only concern for me - is that for the spicy tomato bowls, the noodle was different. Its thickness and texture is different from the traditional pork broth ones. Wish I had known because would change my order. I’m a super big fan of ichiran.

Fantastische Toma Ton – cremig, würzig, einfach perfekt! Ich hatte das Vergnügen, im Mankai Fukushimahonke die Toma Ton Ramen zu probieren – und ich kann nur sagen: ein voller Erfolg! Die Brühe war unglaublich cremig und aromatisch, mit einer genau richtigen Balance aus Würze, Tiefe und Umami. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit viel Liebe und Know-how gekocht wird.

Die Nudeln hatten einen tollen Biss, das Chashu war butterzart und perfekt gewürzt, und die Frühlingszwiebeln rundeten das Ganze geschmacklich hervorragend ab. Auch die Portion war großzügig, ohne überladen zu wirken.

Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und authentisch – ein typisch japanisches Ramenhaus, in dem man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, trotz gutem Betrieb.

Fazit: Wer in der Nähe von Fukushima unterwegs ist, sollte sich dieses Ramen-Erlebnis nicht entgehen lassen. Besonders die Toma Ton kann ich wärmstens empfehlen – cremig, herzhaft und einfach köstlich. Ich komme...
