Soba Makino — Local services in Osaka

As a foreigner, I was put in the counter seat (as a solo traveler). In a tiny restaurant that had 4 counter seats and 3 table, I personally felt accommodated to eat there facing the wall with other 3 Japanese patrons (all strangers to me and who got in before and after me).

The staff was professional, considerate, and even brought a bag container for my backpack to put in (to keep it off the floor). I sat and ate without feeling that I was treated any different from other Japanese patrons (there may have been a table of foreigners present at the time).

12時30分頃、1名で訪問しました。ミシュラン1つ星獲得歴あり、食べログ百名店2021年、2022選出店「まき埜」にお邪魔しました。

実力は折り紙付きと言えそうです。白壁にやや小さめの木の引戸、店の面構えからして期待感が高まります。

1組お待ちがあり、20分ほど待って入店しました。 店内は控え目の落ち着いた照明で、雰囲気も良好です。
