We visited Minosho this evening and had our best dining experience in Japan to date! The staff were so welcoming, and the chef came from the kitchen to give us his recommendations and take our order (in English, no less!). He asked us our budget and told us "leave it to me". He then prepared a bespoke series of dishes for us. The seafood was extremely fresh, excellent quality and tasted delicious. Regrettably, I took very few photos, as we were more focused on eating than documenting! On our way out, one of the very kind wait staff gave us a blessing and an umbrella for the walk home! Read moreThis was a rare dining experience of walking into a restaurant as a foreigner and bring treated royally. Seafood menu specializing in shellfish cooked at your table in the shell . No English menu, but the chef made sure we were will taken care of with suggestions for food and drink. The owner came by and spoke with us at length patiently with a translation app, invited us to stay as long as we wished and treated us to her personal favorite sake from a Magnum bottle as a nightcap.
