I felt very sad for the waiting experience today. I went there for dining by myself and waited outside in a line to get into the restaurant. One of the staff or the boss came out to tell me the restaurant had been full. But the fact was that there were still empty seats (they simply let those 2-people customers to get into the restaurant). I asked him whether I could wait. He replied to me that ‘it takes time’. It was no problem to me at all. However, after waiting further for a while, he came out again to tell me that I was not allowed to dine in the restaurant because the seats are reserved for 2 or more people. I tried to say that I would dine and leave quickly, but of no vain. Though he apologised to me, I felt discriminated. I understand why the restaurant prefer at least 2 people dining, which is mostly most of the revenue, but I think minimum charge per person should be mentioned clearly such that even though single traveller can dine there. What is the most important is that the boss should tell me single diner is not allowed. I did use time to wait but end up failing to...

We are foreigners from Hawaii. I came here because it had high reviews. The food was good. Service was good. The man that ruined it for us was the elderly man behind the sushi bar. Owner maybe? We sat at the bar. He laughed at us and made comments to his staff and other customers because we were taking long to order. The English menu was very unclear and difficult to navigate. How do I know his laughs and comments were made towards us… the other customers glanced in our direction. The vibe changed. We ordered a lot are and drank… thanked them and left. 4th time visiting Japan and the first time experiencing this type of treatment. I live in a tourist destination, Hawaii!
