Pretty decent 3-story arcade close to Umeda station. Bottom floor is mostly cranes and kids games. Second is bigger games like Taiko no Tsujin, Mario Kart, House of the Dead, Jurassic Park, air hockey, basketball, etc. They have 6 Taiko games setup: 4 on Japanese, 1 English, 1 Chinese. Top floor is split between sitting single / double player games and gatchapon machines. MaiMai and other games are also up there. There are various vending machines throughout. When the air hockey machine was having problems, I noticed one of the employees and he fixed it for me and made sure it worked while we played....
Read moreI had a very disappointing time at Namco Umeda. I spent 5000 Yen on a figure of my homegirl Kurumi and I was ultimately unsuccessful. I had a horrible time trying to win this and I really tried hard and I didn't have much fun. As a result of my actions I was stuck eating dinner from 7/11 from being broke! I eventually went to Tokyo and bought the figure there for 1/4 of the price I spent here. The employees didn't stop to assist or help me despite me putting a lot of time and money into the game. This one seems to attract a lot of teenagers and not seeing anyone my age made me feel I shouldn't be there. =*( . Wish I was young again.
On a positive note, I often saw teenager players (probably because they are on a budget), they often play the claw machine to a certain point and gave up. If you are a vulture, you may be able to get some items with less tries than usual.
