I am a female solo and currently traveling in Osaka for 7 days. I chose Via Inn Umeda because of its close location to the JR Osaka station, which was a perfect base while I did day trips to Kyoto. The room was perfectly sized for one, and will likely be a bit snug for two. Not much of a view but considering how little time I spend in the room, it’s was fine. As soon as you walk out of the hotel, there are steps that lead you down to the underground (M5 exit), but if you don’t want to get lost on the labyrinth, I suggest walking on the ground level to get around. The hotel is in. Perfect spot with lots of food places right outside. Amenities like coffee, tea, creamer, toothbrushes, hair brushes and bath cloths are available in the lobby. A microwave is also available if you need to heat some food up. Automatic washing machines are located upstairs on 12F, along with the ice machine. Hotel restaurant (where they serve breakfast) is also located on the 12F. You can store your luggage in the lobby (self-lock) until midnight everyday if you need to check out and wait for...

Read moreNice and clean hotel. Room cleaning is done well. No water, you buy your own. 7-11 is just down the lobby which is really convenient.
Amenities are at the lobby. You take what you need to the room. There’s washing machines/dryer in the hotel which is a plus. Charges are reasonable.
Location wise, it is fantastic. A lot of eateries around. You will never go hungry. You can reach the hotel via the underpass which is a plus. Huge dondon is nearby too. Very convenient for shopping.
Hotel breakfast is limited. You have to choose between English or Japanese breakfast. I find the English breakfast quite sad looking. Japanese breakfast is okay but nothing to shout for.
Will stay again and skip...
