Vegetables Sushi Nanone — Restaurant in Osaka

We just arrived in Osaka and were looking for vegan/vegetarian friendly restaurants, as well as meat eaters. Fortunately, we found one on the door step of our hotel! Immediately, we were greeted by friendly, happy-go-lucky staff, the feel good feeling didn’t stop there. We were accommodated with dietary requirements and changes to dishes in accordance with our tastes. The staff used a cool digital platform and perform ‘yells’, something engaging and enjoyable. We arrived at 9.30 pm. We ordered 5 vegan sushi, 8 vegetables sushi, dumplings and tofu with cheese. The tofu curry was sold out.

After our order, and after having a drink and the dumplings, the waiter told us there was enough rice only for 8 sushi. We changed our order accordingly. Then 5 minutes after that, he again informed us there wasn't any more cheese available. We again had to change our order.

We considered leaving the place but we had to pay the table fee and the drinks.

The vegan menu has cheese in it, and the vegetarian dishes may contain fish. Be careful...

Great vegetarian food and very friendly staff. I only speak a little Japanese but the waiter was nice enough to hold a conversation with me and that made me enjoy my time there even more.

The food was great, I definitely recommend the vegetarian sushi. It still has that sushi taste but uses vegetables instead and looks so much like the real thing. They were also nice to show what vegetables stood in for the fish.
