There is really only one drawback, but for some it will be a deal breaker: it is VERY smoky here. Not cooking smoke either. Cigarette smoke. Smoking is allowed and all but expected. If you can live with that, read on!

The food is great and pretty reasonably priced for the location. This omurice and drink combo was just over ¥1000. Also, it is open until 8 (I think! I was there until 7:30 pm) which is late for a Japanese coffee shop. Most close around 5-6. Finally, it is a beautiful establishment. Well worn wood stairs and railings - you can sit on the 2nd floor partially overlooking the shopping street - and a stained glass wall....

Classic rich wooden carved place, which is ornamental in ambience and just invites you in. I was hesitant with earlier reviews on smoke, but I found No smoke essence. And they have mentioned it's a non smoking place. Cheesecake was delicious, and iced coffee was smooth. They served milk n syrup on the side. Overall...

Charming "ye olde" English style cafe. Loved the decor and stained glass, very retro. Option to sit on one of three levels - we enjoyed the view from the top and had the coffee sets. The parfaits looked good....
