The only good thing about this hotel is that the nearest train station is roughly a 5min walk and on the Osaka loop line. We arrived at the hotel a couple of hours before check in (3pm). I understand that we were two hours early but sometimes this can't be avoided with travel times. We were told if we wanted access to our room we'd have to pay an overpriced fee. It was two hours! The room was ready and nobody else was using it! I've travelled and stayed in numerous hotels and generally they'll let you into your room if it's ready. We let the staff member photocopy our passports (which is standard for foreigners) and got the hotel to hold our luggage until 3pm. This is in their lobby foyer so if you do plan on arriving early make sure you have your bags locked. When we returned at 3pm I experienced the worst check in to a hotel of my life. The girl who served us was a trainee (which is perfectly acceptable) and was having issues checking us in. We gave her the name for the room and waited patiently for another staff member to assist her. The next girl walks over looks at her screen and grabs a photocopy of passports that evidently don't belong to us and can't work out why the names aren't matching on the screen to ours. Four staff members including one who I assume to be the manager were standing around laughing in Japanese trying to figure it out while essentially ignoring us for at least ten minutes. It wasn't until I caught sight of one of the passport photocopies in one of the staff members hands that I told them they didn't belong to us. Suddenly it occurs to them to check our passports again and what do you know they found a name that matched. Twenty minutes later and we were finally in our room. The bed is TINY even to Japanese hotel standards. The pillows are shocking and they don't even use a proper fitted sheet on the bed. The room, in particular the bathroom was old, visibly dilapidated and felt dirty. The rooms have minimal power sockets to charge phones. The breakfast is very basic insufficiently replenished - if you want a taste of everything, arrive at 6:30am when the breakfast bar opens and is fully stocked. The only staff that were friendly were the cleaning ladies on the floor when we'd leave the room in the morning. Save yourself the discomfort and stay...
Read moreWe usually stayed in APA HOTEL whenever we go out of town, i even recommened this to my friends because it is really cheap. My husband and I stayed here in APA HOTEL OSAKA TENMA for 1 night July13-14,2016. The food is delicious and the room is okay..||||But the cleanliness failed. There are dusts in the furnitures. And also when i'm about to throw garbage on the dustbin in the toilet, i saw a black underwear and a napkin (that i think has blood on it! Eeww!). That was gross. ||||The Ofuro (bathtub) is a bit dirty too, the exhaust fan in the toilet is full of dust that i am trying to take it off (lol 😂) and also the Hair Dryer is full of dust. ||||I hope managers or whosoever is responsible in the cleanliness of the room will double check if the room is really cleaned up before you allow a customer to checked in. It is okay to wait for us before we checked-in just make the room neat. ||||Thank you! Please take action so customers will go...
Read moreWe had a nice stay here for 5 nights. The room is comfortable, although a typical small Japanese hotel room. Bathroom is decent, comfortable bed and a decent view from a high floor.||||There is a free spa with public onsen, washing facilities, sauna, massage chairs and changing room. This was really nice and a perfect way to relax. There is also a decent looking bar/restaurant but we didn't have a chance to try it.||||The location is great, within a few minutes walking distance of 2 rail stations. Near Temma station there is a lot of good restaurants, bars and a shopping arcade.||||My only complaint is that the rooms and doors are not at all soundproofed, therefore, every time someone walks past your room it can be quite loud. Our room was near the elevator so this was a problem quite often, one night there was what sounded like someone running around on the floor above and it was very loud. The door also lets in a lot of...
