Kiraku — Restaurant in Otari

Food here was amazing. Every dish we ordered was good. Refer to photos for our orders.

It was also mandatory to order a drink before ordering food.

We also wish we were able to try everything on the menu. We also heard the couple next to us immediately reserving a slot for the night after because they enjoyed it so much. We would’ve too if we did not have another reservation elsewhere.

We came in at 5.30 but was told they were packed and could only seat us at the bar counter. So please make a reservation early like the day before.

Went here for dinner, got lucky as we got in early but it quickly filled up with reservations. You can easily walk in and make a reservation for a night or two in advance

The food was the best we had on the mountain in our 5 day stay, and given the price, it is cost competitive to other restaurants but has much better quality.

1 staff member spoke great English, but with the English menu you could easily order and get by being served by others.

If possible try get a spot at the counter where you can watch the chef cook, with the butter mushrooms and grilled squid some of the highlights...

This restaurant is something special. It has a very traditional vibe and is one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been too. The lady and young lady 🫶 have amazing customer service skills and were kind, and it was cool to sit at the counter and watch the chef do his magic.
