THE CALENDAR（ザ・カレンダー） — Restaurant in Otsu

It's a capsule hotel with bar/restaurant,the women dorm isn't very big,I think 20 beds,clean (I wish they had more comfy pillows though)it has anything you need included a pj,the washroom is very clean and spacious. The hotel is directly on the other side of the train platform,but honestly I didn't have big problems with the train rumor..,maybe if you are nearer the window..I had the breakfast included,it's a slice of shokupan with butter,salad and yogurt,perfect for me,since in Italy breakfast is a very light meal. I stayed at Calendar capsule hotel and ate at the resturaunt a few times, I liked my stay here. The hotel was pretty quiet and I was able to have good rest. My only complaint is really bad bean bag type pillows, I couldn't use it! Also, Hotel has smoking room and the whole place smells like cigarettes. Otherwise staff were lovely, it was clean, good facility. I ate at the resturaunt a few times and enjoyed the food, especially the cheese cake. Nice place with modern ambiance. Morning set is very basic and has nothing special. I'm frustrated that a such nice place doesn't offer a more rich breakfast. Service wasn't attentive and didn't even greeted us. We didn't know if the order was placed at the table or at the counter. A pity because the city deserves a nice place with The Calendar atmosphere. Please improve the breakfast menu. Why not brunch? ...
