Tokyo is known as the second best destination on earth after Italy for Italian food. I cannot claim to have tried many places or the best places..but i will say this
I always tell people i meet in California that we have it rough . How in tokyo the pizza is so good . I didn't even try pizza here this trip yet. I had pasta. Which was awesome when one considers the price. Im sure there is higher level Italian but if i could eat this tasty this cheap in usa i am sure I would almost never get a chance... because the wait would be hours. Just too good for the price.. like most food in Japan actually.. i get supermarket tomago and sushi rolls here that are insanely tasty for their cost.
Anyway. I have been to a few italian joints in Japan years ago. 1st trip back here in 5 plus years but man was this good.
I mean we got the cheap sushi yesterday which was of course cheap for Japan. In the usa if sushi that yummy was that cheap the line would be insane.
But thats to be expected. I dont know. Just always blown away by Japan food. I mean take a look around. Bakeries at the train stations and shopping malls are just awesome.
Anyhow. Highly recommend for cheap family eats. Yes cheap. But tasty
