Buco di Muro Sapporosuterapureisuten — Restaurant in Sapporo

We had a wonderful dining experience at Buco Di Muro in Stellar Place, Sapporo. From start to finish, the staff service was impeccable — attentive, friendly, and professional.

We ordered the snow crab linguine, mentaiko pasta, and a seafood dish with squid, mussels, clams, and prawns. Every dish was delicious and well-cooked. The seafood was fresh and flavorful — you could really taste the quality. Dipping the toast into the rich broth was pure delight, with the flavor bursting in every bite.

The mussels were plump and tasty, though not all were large in size. Despite that minor detail, the overall meal was thoroughly enjoyable. Our bill came to ¥8162.

Nice Italian restaurant at JR tower, Sapporo station in Hokkaido. This is located at 6F. The staff is very friendly and takes step forward to serve you better with some English speaking too. They do have English menu and do serve alcoholic drinks. Ordered their garlic cheese tomato pizza and some seafood pasta which was super yummy. Also ordered beef plater which was good as informed by other people. The deco is very interesting too. Their special chilli oil was super hot and staff did warned me before hand 😆. 日本人の妻と一緒にこのレストランを訪れましたが、料理はとても美味しくて大満足でした。味も見た目も素晴らしく、特に印象的だったのはシェフの方です。料理だけでなく、いくつかの料理を自ら笑顔でテーブルまで運んでくれて、とても温かい雰囲気を感じました。

ただし、接客については少し残念な部分がありました。ホールのスタッフの多くが疲れているように見えたり、こちらが「ありがとう」と言っても反応がなかったり、笑顔が全くなかったりしました。レジでも同様で、表情が硬く、最後の印象が少し冷たく感じられました。

私は父親でもあり、若いスタッフの大変さも理解しようとしましたが、接客業として、最低限の礼儀や笑顔は大切だと思います。料理が素晴らしいだけに、接客がもう少し丁寧であれば、より素敵なお店になると思います。

I visited this restaurant with my wife (she’s Japanese and I’m a foreigner), and we genuinely loved the food. Everything was well prepared, flavorful, and nicely presented. What really stood out to us was the chef not only was the cooking great, but he also personally brought some dishes to the table with a warm smile. That added a personal, welcoming touch.

However, the service from the wait staff was disappointing. Most of the servers seemed annoyed or tired; some didn’t even respond when we said “thank you,” and rarely smiled. At the register, the attitude was the same distant and cold, which sadly puts a damper on what could have been a great dining experience.

I tried to be understanding they’re young, and as a father myself, I get it but being polite and kind is part of the job. We’d go back for the food, but I hope the staff atmosphere becomes more welcoming...
