I was hoping for a relaxed family evening and had high hopes for Yakiniku Kaneushi, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired.
First, finding the entrance was confusing, as there are two doors but only one leads to the actual restaurant. When we finally got in, the staff member we encountered was rude and initially denied our reservation, even though I had proof of it. To make matters worse, we were told we could only stay for an hour, which felt rushed and unwelcoming.
Although I was told the restaurant is child-friendly, we struggled to get an infant seat. Similarly, while it was advertised that the staff speak English, none of them did, though the iPad menu had an English option.
When we tried to order a course meal, the staff refused, claiming it would take too long despite the restaurant being almost empty—it was a Monday afternoon, and there was only one other table occupied.
The food itself was decent, but definitely overpriced for the quality and overall experience. Given the lack of hospitality and high prices, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant or...
Read moreThis restaurant is extremely rude and unfriendly. We went there with a reservation. The male staff member with short hair bluntly stated that we could not order the course menu. So, we ordered several types of meat, but the grill was too weak to cook the meat properly, and they absolutely refused to adjust the heat. One of the meats we ordered never arrived, yet the staff insisted it had been served. When they eventually brought it out, it was clearly old and of poor quality. The only person who made any effort to help us was one of the female staff members.
I’ve never been treated like this, even at places where I ordered just a small bowl of udon. And yet, we spent $500 here and had an utterly ruined evening. Avoid this place at all costs, especially if you’re a foreigner. Spend your money where it’s...
Read moreWe enjoyed the dinner very much. Some highlights:
We can book via Google which is very convenient They have English and Chinese menu on a tablet with pictures which makes it easy to place order. The beef there is of very good quality. But you could also enjoy pork, lamp and seafood. Kimchi is very yummy. We could seat comfortably and the ventilation is extremely good.
Some reviews mentioned it is pricey but I think the quality justifies the price as you can enjoy Shiretoko Gyu (知床牛)from Hokkaido. We truly enjoy the dinner and thank you very much! This makes our visit in...
