Kaitenzushi Nemurohanamaru Nishinoten — Restaurant in Sapporo

UPDATE Since visiting the first time, we gave HanaMaru another chance (multiple times!) and have had much better experiences each time. We enjoy their seasonal sushi specials and have found the wait times to be much shorter than their competitors.

It is important to note that if you don’t speak Japanese, this restaurant will be a bit difficult for you. All of the non-conveyor belt sushi/dishes need to be ordered by hand on a scratch card and the menu does not have any picture.

We didn’t have a great first experience here tonight. There were far too few staff working on a Friday night, which resulted in some ridiculously long delays with ordering and receiving food. When we finally did receive our food, the sushi looked thrown together, wasn’t the right temperature and didn’t taste very good.

My nine year old daughter loves this place, so I hope the next time that we visit that things...

15 dishes very good quality sushi were only 34 AU$. There are some branches in the center of Sapporo city but there are long line ( easily over 20 people ) but here has no line and you can have meal as soon as you arrived.

Service is comfortably nice, everyone is enjoying their meal. King fish was nice and I liked Hokkaido snack “ fried potato rice cake “ ( called as “ Imomochi” ).

Most of sushi has Wasabi between rice and sashimi in Japan so you need to ask make one for yourself without wasabi :)

There are many of better Sushi restaurant in Sapporo but most of them are not daily meal ( over 300$ course ). So if you want to enjoy Very good and casual Sushi, here is the one.

I will come back to here again in soon for dinner or lunch :) there is no such a place like here in Sydney( never will be ).
