This is a complete sento with onsite salon and massage, it has a big dining and lounging area you can use with a lot of japanese food options and a napping area as well as coin massage chair, if you want to try it will make some in the nutshells below
The bath itself has 2 main areas and the outdoor area has 3 pools, one is murky white so i think itâs a mineral bath, came here during winter and the experience of outdoor onsen is totally amazing, the water itself is about 42c at the hottest and shampoo + soap is provided
I come here without planning so i bring nothing and i picked the bring nothing package which includes towel, shampoo & soft drink for about ¥1300, no exactly cheap but pretty satisified with what i got, maybe next time i will be more prepared
The location unfortunately not exactly the most strategic unless either you live nearby or got a car, the only feasible option is bus otherwise itâs about 20-30 mins walk from nearest rail services
If you want to visit hereâs a short guide You enter the foot locker and put your shoes in the empty one then take the key Go to the 3rd floor until you see the salon, next to it is vending machine to buy the entrance ticket which you then give to the receptionist table next to it Immediately turn to your right to go into the locker area and get yourself prepared and enjoy the bath Once ur done. You can use the dining area to lounge or buy food otherwise go get your shoes downstairs and...
Read moreHonestly my new favority onsen in Sapporo. They have a wide variety of baths in the onsen with an extensive outdoor area (especially for a place in such an urban area). Additionally they offer SUPER well priced massages. It works out to about ¥100/minute. It's an over the clothes massage, which is a little different from what one would expect in the West. Honestly though, I didn't notice a difference or feel that the extra layers of clothing lessened the effect at all. The also used a towel to unsure there was no skin to skin contact. As a young woman, with a male masseuse, it actually made me feel more secure. If you prefer a massage with less clothing involved, they offer aroma therapy messages in the onsen area, just be sure to buy your ticket at the ticket machine.
I don't think anyone at the facilities speaks English. I speak Japanese, but I found the font on their ticket machines very difficult to read and the staff was very friendly and helpful with helping me navigate the machine. You'll be able to use the onsen facilities just fine without any Japanese, but if you want a massage, I would recommend memorizing a couple of stock-massage related phrases in Japanese (ie, that hurts, stronger/softer please, __...
Read moreA very nice local sento with a variety of indoor and outdoor pools and both a dry and wet sauna. Prominent signs everywhere stating that tattoos of any kind are not allowed.
Bring cash for the ticket machine. It now costs 880 yen for an adult ticket (excluding extras like towel rental). You donât need change for the shoe or clothing lockers. Price includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and there are hair dryers, cotton buds, and lotion. If you donât read Japanese be aware that one of the baths indoors is âelectric massageâ aka it gives you electric shock pulses if you get close to the metal pads! The dry sauna and outdoor pool both have a tv playing various things (weather, talk show program) with audio which is not very restful.
There is a large parking lot including a covered area, and covered bicycle parking too. No vegan food is offered so I ate beforehand at the Coop grocery store nearby which had some vegan sushi (and a little seating area...
